Hormel Inspired Scholars Program

Hormel Foods, in partnership with UNCF, created the Hormel Inspired Scholars Program to provide support to college sophomore and junior students who are attending any HBCU during the 2025-2026 school year.

College sophomores and juniors enrolled at an HBCU who meet the Eligibility Criteria will be considered.

Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident.

ii. Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.

iii. Be a sophomore or junior in good academic and personal standing who is enrolled full-time at any Historically Black college or university (HBCU).

iv. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form.

v. Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by the student’s college or university.

Preference shall be given to applicants pursuing majors in the areas of Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Operations Management.

Application Process:

All application materials must be received by the deadline.

If applicants are not enrolled in an HBCU for the 2025-2026 academic year, they are ineligible for consideration.

Completed application packages include: transcript, resume, and a one-page personal statement, All information will be submitted in the appropriate section of the online application.

Due to the anticipated overwhelming response in applicants, recipients will be notified in writing. And all non-selected students will receive an auto notification at the conclusion of the award process.
