TMCF | Honda HBCU Scholarship

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Honda are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending outstanding students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and publicly Black institutions (PBIs). Ten (10) scholars will receive a fall need-based scholarship of up to $10,000 for the 2025-2026 academic school year. The total eligible scholarship amount will be allocated in two installments: one during the Fall 2025 semester and the second during the Spring 2026 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

Be a full-time enrolled student as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at a HBCU or PBI for the 2025-2026 academic school year Open to designated majors: Accounting Business Computer Science Engineering Finance Information Technology Manufacturing Supply Chain Current cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher Must have the 2025-2026 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection Must be able to demonstrate a financial need Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551

Scholarship Allocation:

The eligible total amount will be funded in two disbursements for the 2025-2026 academic year, based on the conditions outlined in the scholar’s contract.

Describe a challenge you have faced during your academic journey and how you overcame it. How has this experience shaped your aspirations and prepared you to contribute to the legacy of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Students can submit a resume (OPTIONAL). It should include but not be limited to references demonstrating active participation and leadership in non-academic endeavors, which can consist of school-based extracurricular activities, volunteer work, employment, sports, or any combination of out-of-class achievement.
