TMCF | BetterHelp Graduate Scholarship

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and BetterHelp are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and publicly Black institutions (PBIs). Four (4) scholars will be selected to receive a one-year scholarship of up to $5,000 for the 2025-2026 academic school year. The total eligible scholarship amount will be disbursed as a single payment during fall 2025 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements: Be a full-time enrolled graduate student at any HBCU or PBI during the 2025-2026 academic school year Open to designated majors: counseling psychology social work marriage and family therapy Current cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher Must have the 2025-2026 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection Must be able to demonstrate a financial need Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551

Scholarship Allocation

The eligible total amount will be funded in one disbursement for the 2025-2026 academic year, based on the conditions outlined in the scholar’s contract.
