2025-2026 UNCF/Teradyne STEM Scholarship Program

Teradyne, INC established the UNCF/Teradyne STEM Scholarship Program, administered by UNCF. Teradyne’s leading-edge testers ensure that the world’s most innovative products work right the first time, every time.
The UNCF/Teradyne STEM Scholarship Program will provide need-based support of up to $5,000 for a student from a historically underrepresented community who is classified as a rising junior or rising senior and majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field at an HBCU.
Applicant Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
· Be a student from a historically underrepresented community.
· A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
· Completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with a demonstrated unmet financial need.
· College sophomore or college junior when applying and enrolled full-time as a college junior or senior in the upcoming 2025-26 academic year with a STEM major
· Attend a UNCF Member Institution or another accredited four-year HBCU.
Application Requirements
Submitted applications must include the following:
· A completed UNCF online program application.
· A current academic transcript showing GPA and major.
· An Essay to answer the prompt, “Why are you interested in pursuing a career in STEM?”
· An Academic Recommendation from a Professor*.
*Letter of Recommendation (Reference)
The letter of recommendation must be from a professor who is nonfamilial to the applicant. After receiving email instructions, the recommender will complete the process through the UNCF online application system. Emailed letters of recommendation will not be accepted.
Applicants should provide recommender information (name and email) as early as possible to allow ample time to complete the recommendation. Applicants will receive an “Invite References” reminder until submitted.
Applicants must submit all materials by the Application deadline.
UNCF will notify selected recipients and disburse scholarship funds to the recipients’ institutions months after the application deadline and required information from college & university financial aid administrators. Selected finalists will receive the scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year.
