2025-2026 UNCF Lam Research Scholarship
Developed in partnership with UNCF, the UNCF Lam Research Scholarship Program will provide merit-based scholarships of $5,000 each to African American/Black college undergraduate and graduate students who will be enrolled full-time at any US-located accredited 4-year UNCF Member Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants must be majoring in Chemical/Electrical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Computer or Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics.
This scholarship opportunity is not open to current high school seniors. Scholarship awards will be disbursed in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit via UNCF’s online scholarship application portal by April 10, 2025. All parts of the application must be completed and submitted by the deadline. UNCF will contact finalists’ institutions to verify applicant eligibility. Applicants who do not meet all listed eligibility requirements will not be considered and should not apply. Application materials will not be accepted via email.
Scholars will be selected on the basis of academic performance, extracurriculars, and the content and quality of the essay.
An email confirmation will be sent to applicants who have submitted complete applications. If you do not receive this email, the application was probably not submitted correctly.
Final awards are announced by email within 10-12 weeks of the application close date.
