Stephen Francis McNally Scholarship Fund

The Stephen Francis McNally scholarship is designed to help students of color whose individual circumstances make completion of college seem impossible. Both Steve and his wife Beth (who created the scholarship after his death to honor him) struggled to finish college due to finances. Steve dropped out and it took Beth 20+ years to finish. Both strongly believe that diversity, equity and inclusion are the cornerstones of a fair and healthy America, which is why UNCF was chosen to offer this scholarship.

The Stephen Francis McNally Scholarship will generously provide Degree Completion Awards to students of color during the current Spring 2025 semester.

Candidates for this scholarship must be enrolled full-time at a UNCF member institution, another HBCU or an accredited four-year college or university during the current Spring 2024-2025 semester.

Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. And file a FAFSA for the 2024-2025 school year.

The scholarship will provide an award up to $4,250 to a selected recipient.

In order to have a completed application package, candidates must include:

  • Completed application and authorization form
