Sheltering Home Circle of the King's Daughters & Son's Endowed Nursing Scholarship

The Scholarship Committee shall determine the recipient(s) and apply the following criteria in its selection process.  This scholarship shall be limited to a single student until such time as the fund can support additional awards. Recipient(s) shall be: 1) Enrolled in the NCCU Department of Nursing; 2) In good academic standing as defined by NCCU with a minimum grade point average of 3.0; and 3) A resident of North Carolina, preferably from Durham, Orange or Wake County. 4) Recipient(s) shall demonstrate integrity, high moral standards and service, through engagement on campus and in the community, to the satisfaction of the scholarship selection committee.  5) The recipient(s) shall demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid. 6) Funds from this scholarship will be credited directly toward the students school account and used for tuition, fees, books and uniforms. 7) Recipient(s) will be responsible for acknowledging receipt of the scholarship in writing to a designated member of the North Carolina Circle of King’s Daughters and Sons and be willing to share how it assisted them in meeting their career goals. The scholarship may be renewed for a second year as need exists and the students academic performance continues to meet the criteria.
