BISA Endowed Scholarship
The Scholarship Committee shall determine the recipient(s) and apply the following criteria in its selection process. This scholarship shall be limited to a single student until such time as the fund can support additional awards. Recipient(s) should be: 1) Enrolled at NCCU with a minimum grade point average of 2.5; 2) An incoming freshman (in-state or out-of-state); 3) A first generation college attendee from an underrepresented minority as compared to the U.S. college population (such as African-American students); and 4) Preferably, an African-American female student. 5) The recipient(s) must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrated financial need. 6) The scholarship must reduce or eliminate the amount of loans the student(s) must incur. 7) This scholarship will be used only to assist with covering the direct cost of attendance, which includes tuition, fees, books, and room and board. 8) Scholarship funds should not be used to support students who do not have residential housing with NCCU. The recipient(s) may apply for renewal of this annual scholarship if he/she remains in good standing with the University.
