Jasper L. & Mary S. Harris Endowed Scholarship ( School of Education)

1) Recipients may be average academically, but demonstrate the desire to excel and must demonstrate financial need; 2) First generation college student; represents a socially and economically disadvantaged or underserved population; 3) Major in Education/ Special Education or Environmental Sciences at the upperclassmen level; 4) Priority should be given to students from Eastern North Carolina ( Duplin County – James Kenann  High School, Wallace-Rose Hill High School) or Granville County, North Carolina; 5) The Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences or The Dean of the School of Education should make recommendations to the university scholarship committee; 6) Recipient(s) shall demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
